Liz Squillace (b. 1977, Connecticut) transforms urban landscapes into an uplifting artistic experience. A RISD graduate now pursuing advanced Painting Studies at her alma mater, Squillace inhabits the creative intersection of public art and fine art technique at Read's Artspace live/work studios in Bridgeport, CT.
Through her company, Paradox Ink, Squillace weaves color and form into the fabric of city life. Her signature works—including the vibrant metamorphosis of Bridgeport's Broad Street Steps and her contemplative murals at the Bridgeport Train Station—invite passersby to pause and experience art in unexpected moments of daily life.
From her studio/storefront nestled in the historic Arcade Mall, Squillace bridges traditional and contemporary approaches. Her artistic journey has been documented in the Connecticut Post and New York Times, while her dedication to artistic lineage manifests through her participation in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's prestigious copyist program. Her recent exhibitions at Greenpoint Open Studios in Brooklyn further showcase her evolving visual vocabulary and commitment to artistic growth. Her next mural will adorn the exterior of the North Branch Library in Bridgeport in 2025.
